As many of our area residents know, the Hudson Bend Fire Department performs various services in the district for the benefit of our community. These include making appearances at individual and community functions and events. We are obliged to attend these events, but please observe the following department policy when requesting services:

1. Fire Apparatus appearances may be scheduled online at the link below or by calling 266-2533 ext.27 during office hours (8am-12pm and 1-4PM), Monday-Friday, at least 10 days before the event. Requests for the fire safety house should be made at least 3 weeks before the event.
2. Please allow up to two business days to receive a response to your request from the administrative offices.
3. Requesting an event does not alone guarantee the availability of department staff to be present at the event. Be sure you have received at least a confirmation phone call from the administrative offices prior to the event.
4. The scheduled time for the apparatus must be between the hours of 9am-5pm. Weekends between 9am-5pm may be available as well.
5. Appearances are limited to a 30-minute time period.
6. All activities performed will be at the discretion of the officer in charge when the engine arrives on-scene. The officer reserves the right to refuse any activity he or she deems unsafe or inappropriate.
7. There must be adequate adult supervision of children at all times near and around the fire apparatus.
8. When attending birthday parties, please note there will be approximately 5 minutes of fire safety education at the beginning of each appearance, followed by a tour of the truck, firefighting gear, etc., as requested.
9. There must be adequate roadway access into and out of the event location for fire apparatus.
10. Please be aware of the possibility that at any time the apparatus may have to leave the event to respond to an incoming call.
